V-Bank and Rigid Filters for High-Airflow AHUs
When an AHU has to move a lot of air, a V-bank packs several pleated packs into one frame, so M6 through F9 / Merv 15 — and HEPA when needed — can run at lower resistance. Rigid pockets (MERV 5–14) cover the stages in front.
We build them on the same floor as the panel, bag and HEPA filters they sit with, in dimensioni standard o personalizzate.

What is a MERV 15 rigid cell filter?
Merv 15 corresponds to an F9-class fine filter. In rigid cell / V-bank form, several pleated media packs sit in one self-supporting frame, so the filter holds that grade at high airflow with low initial resistance — typically as the final stage ahead of terminal HEPA filters or in high-spec commercial AHUs. Airy builds rigid cell filters from M6 up to UH19 grades.
V-bank filter vs bag filter — which should I specify?
Bag filters are the economical choice for medium stages. V-bank filters pack more media area into a shorter depth, so they run at lower resistance under high airflow and reach higher grades — up to HEPA. Many AHU operators run both: bag or rigid pocket stages upstream, V-bank fine and final stages downstream. We manufacture the full train and supply it together.
Where do V-bank and rigid filters fit in an air handling unit?
A typical AHU train runs a G4 panel or pleated pre-filter first, an M6–F9 bag or rigid pocket stage second, and a V-bank fine or final filter last — with terminal HEPA downstream only in cleanroom and healthcare systems. Rigid pocket filters (MERV 5–14) cover the first two stages; V-bank cells cover fine, final and HEPA duties.
Do you make HEPA-grade V-bank filters?
Yes — our V-Bank HEPA / V-Cell filter covers M6, F7–F9, H10–H16 and UH17–19 grades (MERV 11–19). It belongs to our HEPA & cleanroom line and is supplied through this category for AHU final-stage upgrades.
